Laura comes to Chesapeake Children’s Theatre excited to share her love of musical performance with children of all ages. In 2011, she graduated magna cum laude with a BA in Music with voice as her instrument. That same year she was honored to receive the 2011 Department of Music Award which recognizes one candidate per year for their excellence in music and academic performance.

Laura has performed on numerous local stages including Churchill Theatre, The Avalon Theatre, and the performance hall of Salisbury University. Although her passion is musical theater, she is also classically trained in English, Italian, German, and Spanish art songs. In addition she has experience performing as the vocalist for the Salisbury University Jazz ensemble and joined a small group of vocalists accompanying Dee Daniels at the Monte Alexander Jazz Festival in Easton.

For the past five years, Laura has taught private lessons in voice and piano. She looks forward to continuing teaching students at CCT in the areas of form, diction and music theory that will help maintain their vocal health and improve performance.
