Jennifer earned a BA in Speech Communication from York College of PA and an
MA in Mass Communication from Towson University. Professionally, she worked
in many communication-focused jobs until finding her way to teaching. She
had one key objective when she retired in 2013 from her career as a college
professor of Communication – to return to the theatre.
Jennifer’s theatrical experience covers the gamut – performer, director,
costume and properties mistress, stage manager, and publicity manager. Her
love of singing as a child evolved until she found musical theater in high
school and that led her to several community and ultimately, paid dinner
theatre productions. It’s likely that theater training was the foundation of
her love of public speaking.
An avid crafter, Jennifer’s creativity and problem-solving abilities fit the
unusual requirements for creating props, costume additions, and set pieces.
She was delighted to find the highly collaborative environment of CCT in
time to help with the 2014 Summer Camp and she has been a regular fixture
since that time.
