I have always been surrounded by music. My beginnings were in elementary school musicals and 4th grade band. My first instrument was clarinet and I continued on this path throughout high school. I majored in clarinet and earned my Bachelor of Science Degree in Music Education from Duquesne University, Pittsburgh, PA.
My professional career began as a middle school band director and eventually turned to teaching at the elementary school level. Now in my eighteenth year as a public school music educator, I teach general music to students in PreK-5th grade. I am also the director of two school performing groups: 4th/5th grade Chorus and 5th grade Band.
