Gail Aveson


Gail has sung in many shows, concerts and churches. She has appeared in many shows locally. Among them are Nellie in “South Pacific”; Yum Yum in “The Mikado”; Nimue in “Camelot”; Golde in EHS “Fiddler on the Roof”; Faye Templeton in “George M” and Mother Abbess in “The Sound of Music” at Chesapeake College as well as leading roles in “Oliver”, Lucky Sff”, “The King and I” and “Damn Yankees”.

Gail was the musical director for an early production of “The Christmas Carol” at the Avalon. She is a long-me member of Tred Avon Players and has sung in their sold-out productions of “Lives Interrupted”, “Life is A Cabaret” and the 3 Broadway Revues. Mayor Murphy of Easton asked her to sing a recital at the newly renovated Avalon Theatre in 1990 and she did a series of concerts at Chesapeake College for their scholarship fund. A recent performance with renowned bass, Robert Cantrell garnered a standing ovaon for their rendition of “Bess, You is My Woman” from Porgy and Bess. Gail has also been asked to perform with Thomas Beard, who sings with Washington Opera and The American Spiritual Ensemble. A member of Easton Choral Arts, she is also a regular soloist at local churches. Gail also performs with the “Heart and Music” cast to benefit “For All Seasons”.
