All sorts of experts tell us that the economic and social vitality of a community is directly related to the amount of locally produced live theater available for performers and audiences.

Talbot County has been singularly blessed in this regard by the fine efforts of the public and private schools and various performing groups, including (I say with no small amount of pride) Oxford’s Tred Avon Players. Now, I am more than pleased to applaud the arrival of a new and exciting group, Chesapeake Children’s Theatre & Performing Arts Center, to the local scene.
